Flights and Welcome Home

What is a Welcome Home?
A Welcome Home is a reception for our Veterans at the airport.  A celebration of our soldiers returning home - in this case - one last time.  This can only be made possible by YOU and others in our community. The more people we have the better the reception to Welcome our Heroes Home. Most of them never received such a reception on their return home from War, so we aim to right that.

Our Mission

Our mission is simple. Honor Flight Houston, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, knows that our Veteran heroes aren’t asking for recognition. It is our position that they deserve it. Please help us continue to make their dream of visiting THEIR memorial, a reality.

Participating in a Welcome Home:

Q: Where should I go?

A: The departures floor of Hobby Airport.  There is a sitting area across from the JetBlue and Delta ticket counters. HFH staff and volunteers will be there to help direct people and answer any questions.

Q: What time should I arrive?

A: Please, first check the flight (SWA # provided below) to make sure it is on time.  Arrive 15 minutes before scheduled flight landing.

Q: What should I bring?

A: Bring a patriotic flag, homemade poster or just your best cheering spirit, but come prepared to give it your all for our returning heroes!
