Who We Are

Helping Veterans Visit Their Memorials - Time is of the Essence

Based on recent statistics, we are losing World War II Veterans at the rate of approximately 492 per day. This means there are approximately only 855,070 Veterans remaining of the 16 million who served our nation in World War II. Honor Flight Houston will continue to do whatever it takes to fulfill the dreams of our Veterans and help our heroes travel absolutely FREE to visit their memorial.

At Honor Flight Houston we are working to create hope and the opportunity for every Veteran to see their memorial. But we can only do it with your help. Join with us in our mission and donate now.

Our Mission is Simple

We want to make a difference. That takes a real-world approach. It takes action.

Mission: The Honor Flight Houston mission is to transport, with a specific priority given to WWII Veterans in the East Texas Region and Korean and Viet Nam War Veterans residing in the greater Houston area to Washington, D.C. to visit those memorials dedicated to honor their service and sacrifices and return them home to their families and loved ones.

Goal: Helping every single veteran in America, willing and able of getting on a plane or a bus, visit THEIR memorial.

Priority: Top priority is given to America’s most senior heroes — survivors of World War II in the East Texas Region and any veteran with a terminal illness who wishes to visit THEIR memorial. The program is accepting applications from Veterans who served during the Korean War and Vietnam War and has received the Korean/Viet Nam Service medal and resides in the greater Houston Area.

Our Volunteers

“We can’t all be heroes. Some of us have to stand on the curb and clap as they go by.”
